Skin Boosters

Biorevitalisation is a process which triggers the skin’s own, natural collagen production and cell rejuvenation through the injection of hyaluronic acid serums. Hyaluronic acid, (HA) is a naturally occurring sugar in the body which is found in the skin, joints, cartilage and other areas, providing natural lubrication. This substance is hydrophilic - drawing many times its weight in water. As we age, we have less naturally produced HA in our tissues and skin dehydration becomes a tell-tale sign of ageing.

The hydrating power of hyaluronic acid in the biorevitalisation treatment feeds the skin’s cells at a deep level and results in supple, younger-looking skin with reduced wrinkles and improved elasticity. Due to the fact that one molecule of hyaluronic acid can hold up to 500 water molecules, it is extremely effective in maintaining moisture in the skin - a powerful weapon against the signs of ageing. This absorbable gel is a popular, natural dermal filler which is most often used to add volume to facial features. Clinical use has demonstrated that the filling effect of HA lasts longer than the biological availability of the product. Possible explanations may include the stimulation of collagen creation by crosslinked HA filler, and up-regulation of elastin which helps keep skin supple.

The process of biorevitalisation was created to take advantage of this phenomenon and deliver results to the skin itself. It is injected through multiple, shallow locations just under the skin to stimulate fibroblasts and healthy cell metabolism. Micro doses of HA are injected superficially - just under the skin’s surface - with a very fine needle in areas such as crows’ feet, cheeks, forehead, laughter lines, neck and the backs of hands. Prior to the treatment, the skin is thoroughly cleansed and numbed with a local anaesthetic cream if necessary.

Discomfort is minimal with no downtime.
